Meet the Team

  • Tracy L. Taullie, DVM
    Veterinarian

    Dr. Taullie graduated from Colorado State University in 1995. She worked nights at a large 24 hour hospital in Omaha, Nebraska for a year and a half before returning to Colorado. She worked in Denver, Colorado for another year and a half. She came to the Arkansas Valley in 1998 with her husband Darrin. She worked for Colorado Vet Clinic for five years before opening Ark Valley Animal Hospital. She now lives in La Junta with her husband and two beautiful daughters. She designed and had this beautiful new hospital built in 2005 and she continues to grow and practice high quality small animal  medicine at Ark Valley Animal Hospital.

  • Donna Huff
    Office Manager

    Donna is a country girl and enjoys spending time with her family, camping, fishing, shooting and playing outdoors. She is a 4-H leader and enjoys watching kids grow through 4-H. Donna grew up in the Arkansas Valley, spent 10 years in Texas and then came home to raise her family.

  • Amy Lynn Crank
    Receptionist

    Amy Crank has been with AVAH since 2016 as a vet tech and now receptionist. Amy has an Associate Degree in science and has CE credits for animal health. Amy has a deep compassion for animals and our clients. In her spare time, Amy is busy with her kids, three cats and her crazy ferret.

  • Kalena Crandall
    Vet Technician

    Kalena is the mother of two active, crazy boys and married to an amazing man. Kalena has been passionate about animals her entire life and actually wanted to be a veterinarian when she was a little girl. She has 4 dogs and 3 cats. Her family is active in 4-H and sports. In her free time you will catch Kalena running kids to different events or at home hanging out with her family. 

  • Nico Vargas
    Veterinary Technician

    Nico has lived in the Arkansas Valley Region for pretty much her whole life and had always dreamed of working in the veterinary field and now she is and she couldn't be happier. Nico is happily married with 4 wonderful kids. She also is a proud owner of 5 dogs, 4 cats, 8 chickens and a ferret, zebra finch and a tank full of fish.

  • Ashley Kelley
    Veterinary Technician

    Ashley was born and raised in La Junta on a dairy farm and married her high school sweetheart. They have 4 dogs and 2 cats. Ashley loves being a vet tech and has been working off and on at AVAH since she was in high school. Ashley enjoys staying at home and being with friends and family. Ashley enjoys working for Dr. Taullie and can't see herself doing anything other that working with animals. She will hopefully be a groomer soon. 

  • Sara Stoeberl
    Vet Technician

    Sara is 27-years-old and owns 4 German Shepherds that she works with everyday. Sara and her husband, Allen, are the parents of two amazing children. Sara has always loved working with animals; in fact she worked as part of the kennel staff at AVAH during high school and got her assistant certificate here. She moved to Washington with her husband and worked as receptionist, assistant and even as a floater at an ER animal clinic. She recently moved back to Colorado and is working at her 'dream job' as a technician here at AVAH.

  • Terri Martinez
    Kennel Staff

    Years in Practice: 13

    Terri has been with Ark Valley Animal Hospital for ten years. She has one son and one granddaughter whom she loves and enjoys dearly. Most of Terri's free time is spent with her granddaughter and caring for her pets. Terri 'loves working with the animals and all the staff at AVAH.' Her smile is sure to brighten anyone's day! :) 

  • Makayla Taullie
    Kennel Staff

    Makayla is an animal lover and has three dogs and two bunnies. She is currently enrolled at Otero Jr. College on her journey to becoming a nurse.
